With the recent spell of hot weather has forced many of the local collections to alter their collection times for safety of their staff and provide less risk of pest infections, as a result of this, many councils have increased collections in parks and city centres.  Some councils have atttracted scrutiny for not increasing their collections, Wigan for example are still on 3 week collections.
